A story about art, coffee, community, 

 and a beautiful idea that quickly became reality.

Mountain Home has always had many talented artists. 

 For years, we have been organizing art events, exhibitions, 

 and community gatherings through the Visual Arts Network. 

 These events have been loved by local residents 

 and have brought people together around creativity.

But lately, many of us began to feel the same thing — we needed a place.
A place where artists could gather regularly, 

 show their work, and stay connected with the community. 

A place where art could live every day, 

 not only during special events.

Sometimes the best ideas begin very simply.

One morning, Svitlana Prouty stopped at Fubar Drinks 
to enjoy a delicious cappuccino. 

 Sitting there in the cozy atmosphere, 

 looking around the warm space, 

 one thought appeared almost instantly:

This would be a perfect place for art.

There was only one small step left — convincing the owners.

The very next day, with the support of artist Dara Corvus, 

 a meeting was scheduled with the busy business owners 

 of Fubar Drinks. 

 What happened next surprised everyone.

Instead of hesitation, the idea was met with complete support, 

 excitement, and even more ideas.

Owners Matthew and Steve, 

 who had already created such a welcoming 

 and beautiful space, 

 shared that they had often thought about 

 how wonderful it would be to have artwork 

 on the walls for their guests to enjoy.

 

And just like that — 

 a new collaboration between art and local business was born.

 

Only two weeks later, 

the very first exhibition quietly opened with works 

from four local artists.

The response from Mountain Home was incredible.

 

 

People came for coffee and drinks — and stayed for the art.
Some left not only with a cappuccino, 

but with an original artwork under their arm.

Conversations started everywhere.

 

 
Questions about techniques, colors, 

 and inspiration filled the room.
Smiles appeared as people discovered local artists 

they had never known before.

The owners of Fubar Drinks suddenly 

found themselves doing something new — 

not only serving drinks, but also sharing stories about art.

And they loved it.

Very quickly it became clear that this new creative space needed a name. 

After some discussion and community input, 

 the choice felt just right.

Little Mountain Gallery was born.

Now the Visual Arts Network of Mountain Home 

and 

the team at Fubar Drinks are preparing for the official 

 Grand Opening of Little Mountain Gallery — 

a celebration of local creativity, community spirit, 

and the beautiful partnerships that make small towns special.

This gallery belongs to Mountain Home.

And we would love for you to be part of this story.

Come down, 

enjoy a drink, 

meet the artists, 

and celebrate art with us.

You might even go home with a little piece

Visual Arts Network of Mountain Home: A Creative Home for Local Artists

The Visual Arts Network of Mountain Home is a friendly, supportive community of artists who believe creativity grows best when it’s shared. As a branch of the Mountain Home Art Council, we exist to connect local visual artists, encourage artistic growth, and bring more art into the heart of our Idaho community.

If you’re an artist in Mountain Home or the surrounding area, this is a place where you can feel welcome—whether you’re just beginning or have years of experience behind you.

 

An Open and Supportive Art Community

Our network includes artists working in many different mediums, including painting, drawing, mixed media, fiber art, silk painting, woodworking, stained glass, and more. We welcome artists of all skill levels and believe that every creative voice matters.

We focus on creating, not competing, and on building genuine connections. This is a space to ask questions, share ideas, find opportunities to show your work, and feel encouraged along your creative journey.

The Visual Arts Network of Mountain Home helps provide opportunities for artists to display their work, learn new skills, and grow both creatively and professionally. Through art shows, classes, workshops, and community events, we work to make visual art more visible and accessible throughout Mountain Home.

Art plays an important role in building a vibrant community, and we are proud to support local artists while bringing beauty and inspiration to our region.

 

Monthly Meetings – Everyone Is Welcome

We meet on the second Monday of each month from 7:00–8:30 pm at the Mountain Home Public Library, inside the conference/multipurpose room (parking lot side entrance). Meetings are open to the public, and new faces are always welcome—no pressure, no expectations.
